Dr. Arun Chauhan, MD FBCS (UK)

Founder & Group CEO

As the Founder and CEO of Vital Radiology Group, Dr. Chauhan boasts extensive experience in overseeing healthcare services driven by IT. Arun is not only a talented entrepreneur but also a proficient health IT management professional. His career has encompassed various consulting roles, including his position as the Co-Founder and Director of UK-based Xpand Solutions.

Arun has a proven track record of designing and developing web-based applications for healthcare services, e-portals, analytical tools, and innovative audit systems. Additionally, he has effectively managed Teleradiology services in the UK. Combining his expertise as a general physician and health information management specialist, Dr. Chauhan holds the prestigious title of Fellow with the British Computer Society. He is also a member of the UK Council of Health Informatics Professions, the Health Informatics Society of Ireland, and IHE UK.

Dr Ashish bhagat, mbbs md, frcr (UK)

Director of Strategy & Development

For the past decade, Dr. Bhagat has worked as a radiology consultant at West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust in Watford, he also works with the Spire Hospital in Harpenden. Prior to moving to UK Dr. Bhagat worked for nine years in Delhi’s prestigious St. Stephen’s Hospital.

A general radiologist by profession, Ashish has a special interest in chest imaging, neuro-imaging and musculoskeletal imaging, playing a pivotal role and contributing towards improvement of the healthcare and reporting standards for patients. His experience and work are reflected in the exceptional health service delivery and guidance in clinical matters he provides to Vital Radiology Services UK.

Dr Vimal Raj

Clinical Lead – India & Academic Initiatives

Dr. Vimal Raj is an esteemed leader in cardiothoracic imaging and clinical radiology in India, holding significant roles at Vital Radiology Services and the NH Group. He drives advancements in imaging practices through his expertise and academic initiatives, including establishing a premier cardiac imaging unit in Bangalore and training imagers internationally. Dr. Raj also serves as a Final FRCR (2B) examiner and Exam Board member for the Royal College of Radiologists in the UK. His contributions in both civilian and military settings, such as his service in the British Army during the Afghanistan conflict, have garnered recognition from the British and Karnataka governments. His academic impact includes authoring over 100 journal articles, three books, and developing a patented catheter design for enhanced post-mortem CT coronary angiography.

A highly respected figure in radiology, Dr. Raj is the only provider of a Cardiac MR fellowship in India under the European Society of Cardiology, with a commitment to AI, management, and education in radiology. He has trained over 2,000 professionals globally, created a popular YouTube channel on imaging education, and holds leadership roles, including as the Vice President of the Indian Association of Cardiac Imaging and Associate Editor of the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging. His ongoing contributions to Vital Radiology Services and various professional societies underscore his dedication to advancing cardiothoracic imaging, ensuring high standards in clinical practice, and shaping the future of radiology education.

Scott Elwell

Chief Technology Officer
Scott Elwell is a Senior Manager with a strong background in operational management. He currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Vital Radiology Services, where he leads the company’s IT direction and strategy. His extensive experience includes notable achievements, particularly during his time as the Directorate Manager for Diagnostic Imaging at City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, where he achieved significant cost savings and implemented innovative solutions. Scott’s expertise and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to our growing business.

Sue Daniels

Head of Governance

Sue has worked for Vital Teleradiology Services as Governance Lead for two years and has worked with the team to achieve the UKAS BS70000 accreditation. She works closely with Vital’s Medical Director ensuring that Vital offers a high quality and safe service.

Sue’s background is that of a diagnostic radiographer and sonographer with over 37 years of NHS experience gained while working at a large NHS Trust. She focussed on a management career and after completing her Certificate in Management Studies, Diploma in Management Studies, and NVQ5 in Management she took on the role of Radiology Services Manager, which involved managing 3 Imaging departments. Sue also was appointed as joint Clinical Director with one of her Radiology colleagues and remained in this role for four years. She moved to rural Suffolk two years ago and took early retirement from her Radiology Services Manager role after 25 years.
Away from work, Sue enjoys visiting the Suffolk and Norfolk coast, walking, travel, music and cooking.

Dipti Lad

Finance Manager

Dipti leads the financial and accounting activities at Vital Radiology Services. As  Finance Manager  she provides essential financial metrics for executive decision making, and manages all fiscal functions.

Prior to joining in November 2023, Dipti was a Finance Manager at Sopra Steria overseeing a portfolio in excess of £10m revenue for Public Sector Client. Dipti qualified as a Chartered Accountant at EY where she has over 9 years’ experience in various Finance and Audit Roles.

Dipti enjoys discovering new places especially  if it involves Sun, Sand and Sea.

Usama Gufran

Head of Operations

After getting a Master’s degree in Business Administration from National Institute of Management and Technology in 2016, Usama worked as an Operations Manager for the Radiology department of Manipal Hospitals for 5 years prior to joining the Vital Radiology. Usama successfully led the department to achieve the NABH approval certification twice during his stay there.

Usama Gufran is a dedicated Ops Head at Vital Radiology, where he has been instrumental in driving operational excellence for over 3 years. With more than 8 years of comprehensive experience in the healthcare industry, Usama has a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiencies and improving patient care. Before joining Vital Radiology, Usama honed his skills at a reputable hospital chain. His academic background, combined with his extensive experience, equips him with the strategic insight necessary to navigate the complexities of the healthcare landscape.

At Vital Radiology, Usama is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, ensuring that the highest standards of service are met across all regional operations. His leadership and vision continue to make a significant impact on the company’s growth and success.

Usama currently takes up the role of Ops Head for UK process Having unsurpassed managerial skills and extensive experience of operations handling in various clinical sectors including radiology, helped him introduce efficient strategies in the Vital Radiology to streamline and optimize the channels of operations. Apart from work, he could either be found grooving to the beats of some soft music or indulged in watching cricket matches in his spare time. He thoroughly enjoys the game of cricket and is a decent player too.

Manuraj Singh

Integration Project Manager

Manuraj Singh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Graphic Era University, Dehradun, graduating in 2016. Before joining Vital Radiology Services UK, he gained valuable experience in a multinational company, where he handled customer support and care for international processes.

At Vital Radiology, Manuraj has established himself as a key player in managing IT connectivity integration projects from inception to go-live. In his role as Integration Project Manager and Support Engineer, he ensures the smooth and secure transmission of patient data for reporting. He is also responsible for coordinating workstation deliveries to Vital Radiology’s consultant reporters and providing comprehensive training on PACS systems. His dedication to facilitating seamless IT operations contributes significantly to the success of the organization and the satisfaction of its clients.

Outside of work, Manuraj enjoys music, movies (especially dramas), and comic shows (open mics). He loves traveling to the mighty Himalayas, exploring the beauty of the mountains, and savoring local cuisines.
